Time In Bed
I love my bed
I love the smell of freshly laundered sheets
I love the warmth and weight of the sheets on top of me.
I spend so much time in bed
I have sex
I masturbate
I watch TV in it.
I aimlessly browse the internet
I listen to podcasts
I meditate
I read
I write.
Sometimes I cry in it
When
I feel sad
And
Find comfort in it.
But
I also have no respect for it.
I’m always eating in it
Spilling things
And
When I am sick I drool all over my pillows
And
I don’t change my sheets enough.
But
I know I’m always safe
Here in bed.
