The Earth Issue
The Earth Issue is a collective of artists and creative professionals working at the intersection of fine art and environmentalism. In common, we share a dedication to raising awareness for the beauty of nature, using art and image culture as a driving force for environmental activism. The collaborators of The Earth Issue aim to highlight a growing interest amongst young artists to awaken society’s complacent consciousness towards our planet; to inspire and harness the power of social change.
‘’There is a shared desire amongst the global creative youth to ignite a sense of urgency in regards to the environment, and our relationship to it. We believe this desire must be nurtured and cultivated, in the common pursuit of preserving nature for the generations to come.‘’
Aside our online platform and print publications (launched on an annual basis through Archive Collective Magazine), Earth’s Issues collective also curates exhibitions, workshops, and other events in London with the aim of sparking conversation and awareness about environmental issues.
The collective’s goal is to use art and visual culture as a driving force for activism.
Our first print publication is a collaboration by environmental photographer
Elena Cremona and Archive Collective Magazine, an independent multi- disciplinary platform in Montreal. The magazine features the works of 28 emerging and established artists including Luca Tombolini, Vilde Rolfsen, Kieran Behan, Alba Giertz and Samuel Zeller, whose works have been published by National Geographic, Creator’s Project, Vice, and Ignant amongst others. The projects featured in this issue span across various creative disciplines, from photography to painting, ceramic sculpture, poetry and illustration.
The Earth Issue online platform and The Earth Issue Volume 01 publication both launch January 31st.
The Earth Issue is supported by Rights of Nature Europe, Creative Opportunities, O2 Think Big, Imagine Forest Nation, Dela Foods and Eco Craft.
