Flutters Of The Heart
This project was inspired by the striking women in paintings from the Romanticism Era. One thing I wanted to emulate within my own series was the instant love I felt for these women from centuries ago. Heading into this photoshoot I wanted to represent the modern girly girl by including stereotypes and using the contrast of the model being in complete control of the frame. Working with intimate lighting and pink tones I managed to create a feeling of lust – pure teenage lust of loving the idea of someone. Flutters of the Heart is almost like you are in my diary; it's an insight into my youthful dream through the capturing of eye contact from the model. I hope others look at my work and feel a personal connection to their teen years!
