More Resilience from Pilar Fernandez

About two months ago, we published some beautiful and unique soft sculptures by the artist Pilar Fernandez. We were met with rave reviews about her work and the amazing craft put into each piece. So Fernandez is back, taking her work a step beyond the object itself, but incorporating the vagina into a woman's identity with each portrait that follows. These works of collage, and extension of the Resiliencia: Bordados and Vaginas project, expand upon her previous investigation into the identity of the feminine, breaching the line between 2D and 3D work. With the title of the series being Resiliencia, it's hard not to believe in what this woman does.
